A special sewing project as part of Makery’s The Refashioners 2018 blogger lineup. Inspired by Rei Kawakubo’s take on cage dress trend during Comme des Garçons AW 2008-9 collection, as well as Alexander McQueen SS 2018 collection’s cage-like dress.
Key Materials
The main materials for this DIY Fashion project were thrifted vintage bodysuit, wedding dress, as well as rescued cotton eyelet ribbon. An old panty and nylon tulle, as well as basic machine sewing and hand stitching tools complete the tool list.
