Creative Director Andrea Karg creates minimalistic silhouettes, beautifully crafted under the theme “Embracing Uncertainty” for Allude Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
Allude Spring/Summer 2015 is all about embracing uncertainty. Its Creative Director Andrea Karg was inspired by “freedom of the individual and the many different ways in which people live their lives…not following any predefined rules…The individual’s attitudes and take on life are the elements that perfect the look – everything is wearable, there are no rules.”
And I cannot agree more. Allude Spring/Summer 2015 collection was featured on October 1, 2014, at Palais de Tokyo (13 Avenue du Président Wilson, 75116 Paris). While the manifestation of the collection’s theme translates in masterful experimentation with jacquards, vichy and pepita patterns on knits, it is far from uncertain. The collection showcases exquisite craftsmanship; minimalistic, effective, and clean silhouettes, soft contrasting textures with delicately feminine feel. While I’m not too fond of the “towel-esque” looks (thanks Victor & Rolf Couture’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection) in white/nude colors, I love all of the navy blue/white looks. The checkered looks are modern, the side cut-outs are sporty, the pockets are cool, and the geometric shapes and patterns project artful 3D optical illusions.
Thank you Totem Fashion for sending me the runway photos, and I’d like to share with you a quote from Ms. Karg that was used to close the press release:

I really like the clean and straightforward approach the German designer used for Allude Spring/Summer 2015 collection. It’s really easy to imagine having some of the pieces incorporated to my current wardrobe, and that level of runway-to-real-life relevance is a great asset to have for any designer. Great work!
Thank you for reading; until next time,
